HSBC UK today announces the relaunch of its Premier Credit Card. Reimagined to deliver significantly greater value, enhanced travel rewards, and instant access to exclusive lifestyle perks.

The refreshed card offers a fee-free alternative to the existing HSBC Premier World Elite (£290 annual fee) for eligible customers*.

At the heart of the relaunch is a new enhanced earn rate, giving all customers 50% more reward points on every pound spent. New cardholders will also receive a 20,000-points welcome bonus, the equivalent of ~£100 in AVIOS air mile value or a European city break, unlocking meaningful travel opportunities from day one.

The programme now includes a new airline mile partner, Air India, expanding redemption options across Europe, Asia, and North America. Customers can also redeem points almost instantly.

Premier cardholders continue to enjoy free annual worldwide travel insurance through their HSBC Premier Bank Account, alongside a suite of exclusive partner offers, including discounts at merchants such as Expedia and dining and hotel benefits at several venues including Hawksmoor and The Ivy.

Where Everyday Spending Can Take You

To mark the relaunch, HSBC UK has released a new data-modelled study, “Where Everyday Spending Can Take You”, showing how typical HSBC UK Premier customers’ annual spending can translate into real travel outcomes under the enhanced rewards programme.

Using anonymised customer spend data across grocery, travel, and general categories, the study highlights how everyday purchases can now unlock long-haul and short-haul travel faster than ever.

Key Findings*

·       On average, Premier customers spending £24,000 per year could earn enough points to fund a European city break

·       Premier customers spending between £50,000 to £100,000 annually could earn enough points for a trip to New York

·       High-spending Premier customers (£100k+) can generate enough annual points to unlock premium cabin upgrades and long-haul redemptions

The findings demonstrate how the enhanced earn rate, combined with new airline partners, transforms everyday spending into tangible travel opportunities.

Commenting on the relaunch Carl Watchorn, Head of Premier Proposition at HSBC UK, said: “This relaunch of our Premier Credit Card is about making the rewards programme work harder for our customers. The combination of enhanced points, new airline partners, and near instant redemption opens a world of opportunities, and builds on the array of benefits already enjoyed by our Premier customers”

The new Premier Credit Card is available now to eligible Premier customers, who bring in £100,000 in savings/investments or pay an individual annual income of £100,000 into their HSBC UK account, or qualify for HSBC Premier in another country.
